Chapter 17: The Breaking Point
Following the press conference, Arthur Vance and Julianna’s schemes completely collapsed. Supported overwhelmingly by the board of directors and
international investors, Ethan was officially reaffirmed as CEO, while Arthur Vance was permanently removed from his executive position.
Arthur made one final attempt to confront his son in a private meeting at the headquarters.
“You risked your entire family legacy for an ordinary designer, Ethan,” Arthur said coldly, staring at his son.
Ethan looked back at his father. Where there used to be fear and hesitation, there was now only unshakeable calm and resolve.
“I saved the legacy, Father,” Ethan replied steadily. “You built an empire out of concrete and cold calculations, but I gave it a heart. Clara
isn’t my weakness; she is my greatest strength.”
Leaving his father behind, Ethan drove straight to Clara’s Soho studio. When he saw her standing by the canvas, the remaining weight of the
corporate battle vanished instantly. Ethan pulled Clara into a tight, protective embrace. There were no more doubts, no lingering past secrets,
and no third party between them anymore.
